When working with English language learners, the teachers’ most important responsibility is to enable them to communicate efficiently and effectively through oral language and to develop their ability to use the target language for communicative purposes in the classroom, the place where education skills are developed.
Oral/verbal communication represents an important domain of the communicative process as a whole. I believe that oral language is important not only as a vital communication tool that empowers us in our daily lives but also as a valuable way to learn explains Staab. The negotiation of meaning between the participants involved is related to the context in which it occurs, including their purpose of speaking, their collective experience and the physical environment. Taking into consideration that speaking is an interactive process, the speaker and the listener play the important part in constructing meaning, which is producing, receiving and processing information. According to Jakobson, communication operates with an encoder and a decoder who uses the same code of knowledge in order to interpret the message.
