The current research demonstrates that the Chinese American and Korean American authors after 1990 attempted to change the primary portrayal of Asian American man into a more realistic depiction of the hard-working Asian immigrant that strives to become either a successful scholar or a modern Asian American hero. The book explains the literary evolution of the Asian immigrant model and describes the new masculine models.
