I think there is no child who would not like to sing a song or to play a game. Playing is their innate nature and, in the context of the classroom activities this allows them to discover and rediscover themselves. Activities linked to songs or games create a new approach in the language teaching as they can provide a relaxing but dynamic atmosphere, fun and engagement and, most importantly, a significant development of the students’ skills.
This paper will deal with the benefits of integrating songs and games in the English classes and their contribution to the students’ language skills improvement.
