Planning for the classroom is an important part of the teaching act as proper planning is essential to the process of teaching and learning. It is important to realize, especially for new teachers who have not gained experience in the field yet, that on a large scale, effective lesson planning will keep you organized and on track while following a curriculum that meets state guidlines. On a smaller scale, planning helps you identify your aims for the lesson and act accordingly so that the class will meet your expectations. Nevertheless, whatever the level of experience, it is important that all teachers spend some time thinking through their lessons before they enter the classroom.
