The main purpose of this paper is to prove that teaching English through drama leads to a real communication involving not only ideas but also emotions. Performance-based activities are very important in the process of teaching oral communication, as the oral skills are facilitated and even accelerated, they motivate students to achieve a very clear comprehension of a plot and even enhance a deeper understanding of the characters. When they use plays, students become immersed in the activity and no longer perceive it as artificial. They experience the use of language in situations similar to life. It is an attractive alternative to the day-to-day common courses, in which students are offered a context for listening and producing meaningful language, thus forcing them to use the language resource and enhance their linguistic abilities. In addition to a focus on literary interpretation, language use, and reading and speaking practice, another purpose of this research paper is to explore the way in which friendship and power are illustrated in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and the way in which questions of morality, personal responsibility, and conscience, which are relevant topics for adolescents today, can be used in order to teach English.         Lecturați gratuit Friendship and power in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. Au fil du temps, de nombreux Roumains « ont conquis » le cœur des Français grâce à leur talent, leur sérieux et leur don. Un regard bref en arrière suffit pour réaliser que la collaboration culturelle entre la Roumanie et la France a atteint le plus haut niveau au cours des deux derniers siècles. Notre pays a compté de nombreux écrivains, artistes plasticiens et musiciens qui ont vécu et créé en France, laissant une empreinte significative sur la culture et la littérature internationales. Ces artistes roumains qui ont vécu et créé en France ont eu un impact majeur sur la culture et l’art mondiaux. Par leurs œuvres innovantes et leurs approches avant-gardistes, les Roumains dotés d’un esprit artistique ont contribué au développement de nouvelles formes d’expression artistique et littéraire, influençant des générations entières d’artistes et d’écrivains.
