The present paper clearly proves the advantages of using this tool, namely drama activities in the EFL class. Students who could not even greet me or did not dare to do that, because they were afraid of not making mistakes, now are more confident about themselves (and this refers both to personality and knowledge), their final marks at the achievement tests being of great relevance in this respect. To highlight this, a distinct section of the paper was dedicated to lesson plans and sequences of lesson illustrating the use of drama activities in the EFL class. Times change and so do the students. Nowadays, since students’ interest for study, in general, has declined, I strongly agree that teachers need to improve their teaching strategies, to use innovative and interesting activities in order to transform the foreign language acquisition, in particular, into a pleasant school subject. As a teacher in a secondary school with second language learners of English, I often employ drama, which I consider a powerful teaching tool in classroom activities. The feedback from my students has been positive and they have considered dramatic activities being motivating, creative, entertaining and enthusiastic.
